As she begins to look for answers, she must decide what really matters and who her true friends are—and whether her two halves, no matter how different, can make her a whole. From the Hardcover edition.. What greater praise than to be compared to Judy Blume!--"Each Blume and Hiranandani excels in charting the fluctuating discomfort zones of adolescent identity with affectionate humor."--Kirkus Reviews, StarredAfter her father loses his job, Sonia Nadhamuni, half Indian and half Jewish American, finds herself yanked out of private school and thrown into the unfamiliar world of public education. For the first time, Sonia's mixed heritage makes her classmates ask questions—questions Sonia doesn't always know how to answer—as she navigates between a group of popular girls who want her to try out for the cheerleading squad and other students who aren't part of the "in" crowd. PJ Sharon's debut novel touches the reader's sensitivity to current social, political, and emotional issues. The price is very reasonable for what you get. Another excellent reader in this series. I've been assigned this book (as well as Bolton and Dewatripont's Contract Theory text) for a grad-level information class. I don't "love" the illustrations in this book as much but the information presented here is pure gold.. Porn star, media whore, self-made man, and indisputable master of the cheesiest facial expressions ever seen on any celebrity whose name isn't Paris Hilton. This is the version I'd recommend!. Anyone interested in wildlife management, the environmental "movement", either pro or con, should have this book on their shelf. You have to work at it to be successful. Who came up with all the stupid policies anyway? If you are in marketing you might not find that book ground breaking because it just reiterates what you can read in the blogosphere pretty much every day. I unfortunately lost much of my sight, and couldn't work anymore. They are all well illustrated, well written and remarkably free of political bias. It gives great insights about marketing as well. This book has been great to talk about appropriate touching. But how does Alex feel?Debut author PJ Sharon does a wonderful job

Then Dad gets depressed and things become much worse. Told in Sonia’s wry present-tense voice, the mixed-race-family identity conflicts, as well as the universal contemporary drama of trying to act cool––and decent—will easily pull readers through this debut novel. --Hazel Rochman . From Booklist After Dad loses his job, Sonia Nadhamuni has to move from private to public middle school, and it is not easy for her to fit in, especially because Dad is Hindi and Mom is Jewish American. Sonia sometimes feels “too dark to be white, too light to be black.” Why is Kate, the star of the cool white crowd, so nice to Sonia, even taking her shopping and getting her on the cheerleading team? Should Sonia sit wit
