LeDoux lays out a plan to rehabilitate cognitive science by restoring the older idiom that includes emotions.This is an extremely elementary and superficial book; therefore it might serve as a good introduction to brain science in general. But it is not a textbook of psychiatry-that would entail a book about 4-5 inches thick that you could never finish reading. Gordon Whyte is not given credit as an author on this version, he just does the forward for the book.. It is an enthralling and detailed history of its successes and failures, dovetailed with strong descriptions of operations and personalities. DenisonThere are several nice drawings and watercolors. I recently mentioned to a Hawaiian Airlines Captain that I was a retired Tiger pilot. Wouldn't really recommend this book. One that goes to the heart of capitalism and globalization. Pretending to be less than I am is a game that I play at my peril. Reference to cell phones suggest the book is set in the present although the atmosphere and attitudes of the characters seem to suggest an earlier time period. Both of my children like to read from it during Morning, Afternoon, and Evening prayer. I am looking forward to this writer's next work of fiction wiA lot of the Gung-Ho Guns have fallen victim to defeat and therefore death, but not by the bullets of the reluctant hero, Vash the Stampede. But even if the "Guns" seem to be dwindling, that doesn’t mean there’s a lack of violent freaks tearing up the planet. All the while, Kinves and his crew have something mysterious going on behind the scenes, and it doesn’t look good for Vash and the people he lives to protect.. In "Gunslinger" Vash is running into all sorts of weirdos with guns
