I would say this was a great addition to an awesome series.. Stokstad and Cothren make a valiant effort to include a balanced selection, but the format resists their attempts. & could not find what i wanted: a telecast that showed early supercontinents, how they broke up, how they reassembled & explained why they behaved as they did. The author's ability to weave this delicate story speaks well not only for this, her first novel, but for subsequent novels, as well.. What's the true story?Complicating matters are Alex's injuries--he's coming to terms with the loss of a leg--and his and Jordie's tangled history. That is my main reason for writing the book. In this recent book by Jackson he makes this quite clear in the chapter entitled "Twilights of the Gods". Of course, I know that this is not my fault, but I also go back and forth on hoping not to be ignorant on this. With 3 different cover designs, the cover material is somewhat textured and the "Notebook" font on the front is lightly embossed printed in gold ink. I am looking forward to this writer's next work of fiction with great anticipation. I couldn't put the book down, it was great. The rest was crap..
