I recommend Tiger Tales to those with a passion for aviation. Vivant Denon was known as 'Napoleon's eye'. He accompanied Bonaparte to Egypt, witnessed the Battle of the Nile and was, in effect, the first war artist. This book tells the story of Denon's travels and the impact of his illustrations, which proved to Europe that Egyptian art and architecture was no poor relation to that of Greece or Rome.
